May 28, 2016 Anime & Ramen Panel
I was contacted by the Consulate General of Japan in Toronto to participate in their panel discussion on the connection between Ramen and Anime at the Anime North Convention which is the biggest of its kind in Canada. We dicussed popularity of ramen in anime, Japanese culture in North America, instant noodles, and of course what the ramen scene is like in Japan and it's popularity in the western regions. Myself and phenominal ramen Chef Ryuichiro Takahashi (from RYUS Noodle Bar) talked about our ramen journey and what the next steps in it's growth and evalution might be. It was truely an honor to be apart of this event and felt great for my passion of ramen to be recognized by the Japanese Consultate and the ramen community in Toronto. I thinks it time to crush another bowl...don't you!?
